Jesus Created You

Learn how Jesus Created You

The beautiful truth of the matter is this - before the creation of the world, Jesus thought you up. He thought you were a great idea. He still thinks so. You were a part of his plan all along. You are not a mistake.

There’s a guy in the Old Testament whose name is David. Though he was an ancestor of Jesus, he started his life as a lowly shepherd, the youngest and smallest of his brothers. He was nothing really. Along the way God used him to do some miraculous things. You may have heard of David and Goliath - same guy. So anyway this little guy eventually becomes king of Israel and that’s when he begins to take some major wrong turns - including committing adultery and murder. He makes some huge mistakes. Still, the Bible tells us that he was a man after God’s own heart. He even wrote most of the Psalms we read in our Bibles today. One of them says this:

Psalm 139:13-16 - For you created my inmost being;

you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Your works are wonderful.

I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place,

when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;

all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

This was true for King David and it is just as true for you. You were created for a reason and with a purpose by a God who loves you enough to die for you and thought that his world just wouldn’t be the same without you. If that’s not good news, I don’t know what is.
